P002 → What did she buy? 

A receipt is meant to be a simple record of transactions, but for me, it became a running list of impulses, justifications, and fleeting thrills. What Did She Buy? is a deep dive into my habit of acquiring things I didn’t need, driven by the rush of buying rather than the logic of necessity. Printed on a 60-inch roll of receipt paper, this work documents my consumer journey—each item, each total, each fleeting moment of justification laid out in black and white.

With every roll, I’m forced to reckon with the absurdity of it all. The material becomes a reflection of my mind: cluttered, impulsive, and, ultimately, disconnected from the “need” I told myself I was fulfilling. This project isn't about shame—it's a reflective look at the way we justify consumption, the brief satisfaction it offers, and the things we buy that end up owning us. It's not a conclusion, but a confession. And I’m printing it all, because maybe seeing it laid out like this will make me and you think twice before the next “add to cart” moment.
